Stalking is defined by Merriam-Webster as “to pursue obsessively
and to the point of harassment”. However, stalking can become much more
dangerous than simply being harassed. California Penal Code, section 646.9
defines stalking as “any person who willfully, maliciously, and
repeatedly follows or harasses another person and who makes a credible threat
with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear for his or her safety,
or the safety of his or her immediate family”.Violence,
assault, sexual assault, vandalism and homicide are all possible conclusions
from a stalking situation.
If you feel threatened, then you need to take immediate action.
