Stalking is defined by Merriam-Webster as “to pursue obsessively and to the point of harassment”. However, stalking can become much more dangerous than simply being harassed. California Penal Code, section 646.9 defines stalking as “any person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows or harasses another person and who makes a credible threat with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear for his or her safety, or the safety of his or her immediate family”.Violence, physical assault, sexual assault, vandalism and homicide are all possible conclusions from a stalking situation. 

If you feel threatened, then you need to take immediate action. Stalking is not something that only happens to celebrities, it can happen to anyone. Shown below are some indications of possible stalking.

Someone is watching you, or following you.

You continually receive unwanted phone calls, emails, letters and / or gifts.

You are receiving a multitude of obsessive phone calls.

You are having inappropriate confrontations with someone on a regular basis. 

Someone is displaying obssessive and jealous behavior toward you.

You are receiving threats against you, your family, or your friends.

Vandalism  is occurring against your personal property, such as your car or your home.

Someone shows up at your home, or place of work uninvited, repeatedly.

If you feel threatened by someone who exhibits stalking behavior, call the police NOW. They will listen and they will help. If you don’t know who is stalking you, we can find out who they are, gather evidence against them and present the evidence to law enforcement for prosecution. Even if you already know who it is, but you need to gather evidence of someone’s stalking behavior, we can do that.
